Our speaker will discuss aspects of the Affordable Care Act:

•     Saeed Rose, a community organizer with Texans Together Education Fund, will share infomation about TTEF's current campaign and discuss what community actions are taking place during the next few months. It is urgent that residents and community leaders understand how the implementation of the Affordable Care Act will impact our community for the better in 2014 if the Texas Legislature accepts the Medicaid expansion.  Some of the benefits of the Medicaid expansion include insurance coverage for all health conditions, free preventive care, tax credits for middle income, and more jobs statewide . TTEF has joined forces with Health Care For All Coalition to inform and involve the local community in a series of upcoming community actions to urge our local legislature to accept the new Federal Affordable Care Act Law.
