Our goal is to transform a currently vacant lot into a community garden at the Independence Heights Community Health Center, located at 4040 Yale Street. The garden, once established, will provide the clinic the ability to teach residents about healthy eating and encourage them to learn to how to grow their own fresh food.

To help us create the Independence Heights Community Garden, we are asking local businesses, organizations, and elected officials to assist us with sponsorships. We are beginning our media outreach on March 2, 2013 and are seeking to secure all sponsorships by that date to ensure that sponsors are included in all of our marketing materials to local media. All sponsors will also be promoted on our website, www.HarrisDemocrats.com, and our social media platforms.
