Justice of the Peace, Precinct 6, Place 1. March 6, 2012 is the Primary Election, and the last day to file for a place on ballot is December 15, 2011. The filing fee is $1,000

Requirements – http://www.texascounties4u.org/desc/descJP.pdf – No education requirements are needed as the State of Texas has training requirements once elected.

Eligibility requirements for the justice of the peace office are:
• a citizen of the United States;
• at least 18 years of age;
• mentally competent;
• no felony convictions; and
• a resident continuously in Texas for 12 months, having presided in the precinct for six
months.
